Motor Racing - The Mille Miglia - The Great Italian Race

Stirling Moss the great British driver became the first Briton to win the the Great Italian Race, the Mille Miglia, a race that cover most of Italy he covered 994 miles in 10 hours 7 mins and 46 secs in his German Mercedes Benz to set a new record. Image shows Moss crossing the finishing line.
